I Can Wait 03:39
Stay For a while We can be Friends If you want Seems to me So That you know I die Inside Every time You walk by We are young So in love, oh I can wait There is time You ought to know, oh I can wait I can wait I do My best to Keep my pain Still Find it hard Against my grain Until I can speak I will hide I've seen You smile Deep inside We are young So in love, oh I can wait There is time You ought to know, oh I can wait Yes, I can wait

If Only 03:22
Only the Longest night After a year I don’t See what Is Wrong but I Have to go home could I Maybe you Know who came Sister to what she says Acting a Fool again What can I do for him Send me Away won’t you Get her to stay Won’t you What can I do with you What can We lose here too If you only you know and what would you do I only told you then Then how could the light in all of your eyes hold you there and when I said it before but I’ll sit You will be suffering it If you only you know and what would you do to me then

Flying like a bird above the sea I wait For land to come to me Singing my song every night The fate Of every one Waiting for the wind to come around Behind Each and every face When we try to satisfy Creates A wild eye All I know Is now behind But I can try To sing, a lullaby to you And I know that soon you’ll see Sitting back and hoping that they cry Is no Way to answer me As I try to rectify Look at How I see things Only in the dark will I reply Why Follow me outside You must be straight up out your mind If all You say to me is All I know Is now behind But I can try To sing, a lullaby to you And I know that soon you’ll see

Sleeping 05:05
Sometimes I think I’ve lost my mind So much to see yet I feel blind I stay in touch though I’m behind I would not trade this state of mind Sleeping I am staying here for life I’ve been this way since I was five I’ll take enough just to survive I’d hardly say that I’m alive I think I learn a lot at school Thrown back into the whirlpool Lay down to rest my face in drool For country I will be your fuel Sleeping I am staying here for life I’ve been this way since I was five I’ll take enough just to survive I’d hardly say that I’m alive

After all these days I’ve spent Here with you You go some other way I know you do Down the road on the other side You’ll see some friends And on your way home you stop and pray Meeting the ends I am lost I have to get home I’d call you to talk but I’ve misplaced my phone My body is tired and the wind’s blowing on Nothing you do to leave me alone Nothing you do to leave me alone Some time after this is done You’ll look up to see The sky above and the ground below And before you a hot cup of tea There’s a man next to you and he takes all your money And he leaves you alone in your socks Yet I hear the words, and your melody playing From your music box I am lost I have to get home I’d call you to talk but I’ve misplaced my phone My body is tired and the wind’s blowing on Nothing you do to leave me alone Nothing you do to leave me alone You are the love of my life I know You are the love I know, I know You are the love of my life I say it You are the love I love everyday You are the love I love everyday I am lost I have to get home I’d call you to talk but I’ve misplaced my phone My body is tired and the wind’s blowing on Nothing you do to leave me alone Nothing you do to leave me alone

Turn me Back to the door And I’m falling Down to the floor Do you hear me? Or am I alone in my mind Someday After we kiss In the yard and We will open our hearts up Scare each other away I don’t know what I’m doing You could put me to ruin There ain’t nothing wrong with love ‘till it happens to you I love Hearing about How you’re feeling Seeing you smile Appearing Happy as ever you were Walking With you a while I can feel it Coming up faster than ever Sadder then I’ve ever been I don’t know what I’m doing You could put me to ruin There ain’t nothing wrong with love ‘till it happens to you

When was the last time that you had one? Do you have anything to say? How do you feel? I guess you’re hungry We’ll have a meal after we pray I’ll do what you say and I will never ask you why Listen to mother but You try so hard to dignify And you’re still here we’re getting tired Why don’t you go away a while I’ve heard the sun is nice around there They’d put your style up on trial I’ll do what you say and I will never ask you why Listen to mother but You try so hard to dignify

Every time I hear that music play I gotta go right back And every minute that I’m in your room Not a second goes to waste I know its cold and dark and windy out I think I still would take a walk You got it going on yeah I can tell And on your door I will knock You can really make me wonder You can really make me feel alright And you really make me think about the days when There was nothing there in sight I’m sitting here with a microphone Feeling my guitar I’ll try to write though I don’t know how Or sound poetic at all La la la la la la la la La la la la la la la la You can really make me wonder You can really make me feel alright And you really make me think about the days when There was nothing there in sight You can really make me wonder You can really make me feel alright And you really make me think about the days when There was nothing there in sight

As long as I can sing As long as I can hear As long as I will see As long as I can fear As long as I have you As long as I can cry As long as I pull through As long as I get by As long as I can breathe As long as I have hope As long as I can smile As long as I can cope As long as I’m worthwhile As long as I can breathe As long as I know who As long as I am me As long as I love you As long as I can breathe

about

Recorded in 3 days on a Tascam Portastudio 4-track tape recorder.

Little intellectual thought went into creating this album as I was more interested in exploring how it might be possible to capture the raw feeling that goes into the writing process of each song. Many of these songs were written, recorded in 1 to 2 takes and mixed, all within 20 minutes. This is what you hear. This was for me, an exercise in letting go and trusting myself and my work.

This album is inspired by and dedicated to John Frusciante.
